Today I went to Loysel’s Toy for an espresso and on the way back stopped by a bank branch and found Queen Street, which has a cool little street market, and loads of dry markets (stores that sell mostly dry goods like dehydrated shrimp, ginger, and mushrooms). There was also a hawker center so I stopped for lunch.
Below are some pictures. In the first picture, of Rochor River, the buildings on the right look like HBD, or public housing. Public housing here is much nicer and doesn’t carry the negative stigma it does in the States. About 85% of Singaporeans live in HBD.
