New Passport

My passport expired earlier this month so I rushed to fill out the DS-82 form and shipped it off with expidited services requested. Now I have a shiny-new passport with an RFID chip in it. Time to get a tin-foil hat for the passport.

Two of the options I took while completing the DS-82 were 1) getting a 52-page book to hold more stamps (yes, I’m hopeful!) and 2) getting a passport card. While the passport card can not be used for international travel by air, it’s still a great thing to have as backup ID and if your passport book is lost or stolen, the card can be used to apply for a new passport book.

Next on my to-do list is to go through and make sure all of my digital documentataion is up to date. That’ll be fun. Not.
